HP Hanging Cheek (Baucher) Snaffle

This very popular style of bit is now available in the HP Relief range.

Many people believe a hanging cheek snaffle gives some poll pressure but it doesn't!! This is one of the most common misconceptions about bits that you come across. 

However what it does do is to hold the bit more steadily in the mouth than a normal snaffle so that it is more stable across the tongue and some horses prefer this.

The centre barrel allows the 'arms' of the bit to move independently from each other, giving exact signals to each side of the mouth.

The barrel also allows the bit to 'collapse' slightly, giving sufficient tongue room for even the thickest tongue, without the need for a 'Port', as it shapes to the conformation of the tongue itself.
